English alphabets sounds



 

English language has 26 letters out of which five are vowels while others are  consonants and 44 sounds  including 20 vowels and others are consonants.
Long and short vowels sounds can be practised in the following way . 
Fat.                    Fat
Red                  read
Sit.                      Site
Hop.                   Hope
Tub.                   Tube
Now ask the learners to underline the short and long vowels sounds
